Everywhere I look, people say engineering is the safe bet, great pay, tons of openings, can't go wrong. But I've been tracking the local job boards and talking to people actually in the field, and it feels like the entry-level market is way more saturated than the career guides let on. Is the "just get an engineering degree and you're set" advice outdated, or am I reading the wrong signals?
